Humminbird's MEGA Imaging technology produces some of the sharpest underwater images available in recreational fishing electronics. But the quality of that image depends almost entirely on transducer placement.
A transducer mounted at the wrong angle, too high, or in a turbulent water pocket produces poor returns regardless of how good the unit is.
At CVMS, we install Humminbird units as part of a complete electrical build. Transducer placement is assessed individually for each hull. Every installation is wired clean, networked where applicable, and tested on the water before the boat leaves our shop.

What's the difference between HELIX, SOLIX, and APEX?
HELIX is Humminbird's mid-range lineup: capable units at a range of price points from 5 to 12 inches. SOLIX is the performance tier with larger displays, faster processing, and full MEGA Imaging support. APEX is Humminbird's flagship, the most advanced imaging and processing available in the lineup.
What is MEGA Live Imaging and do I need professional installation?
MEGA Live Imaging is Humminbird's real-time forward and down-looking sonar, comparable to Garmin LiveScope. Transducer placement on a pole mount is critical to image quality, angle, depth, and position all affect what you see on the screen. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Can you integrate my Humminbird with my Minn Kota trolling motor?
Yes. Minn Kota i-Pilot Link is natively compatible with Humminbird HELIX and SOLIX units. We configure the integration so you can control spot-lock, route following, and heading hold directly from your Humminbird display.
What is 360 Imaging and how is it different from MEGA Live?
MEGA 360 Imaging gives you a real-time, rotating bird's-eye view of structure and fish around your boat as you drift or sit still. MEGA Live Imaging shows real-time forward and down views as fish move. Many serious anglers run both. Each has its own transducer and mount requirement.
How long does a Humminbird installation take?
