Your Old 2-Stroke Is Worth More Than You Think

Most boat owners assume getting rid of an old 2-stroke outboard means selling it themselves on Facebook Marketplace or eating the loss at trade-in. Neither option gets you far. The Suzuki 442 Trade-In Program changes that equation significantly.

Through this program, trading in your old 2-stroke gets you an additional 10% off the price of a new Suzuki 4-stroke. On top of that, the Suzuki MVL program adds $50 to $500 in additional savings depending on the horsepower of your new motor — already factored into the price CVMS quotes you. These two programs work together, and at CVMS, we apply both automatically.



Here's what most people don't know: any 2-stroke qualifies — even if it's blown up, seized, or completely non-running. The engine does not need to run. The engine does not need to be rebuildable. The only two requirements are that the trade-in motor is within 50HP of the new Suzuki you're buying, and the motor is still mounted on the boat when you bring it in. That's it. Bring it in, we assess it, you get a straight number — no surprises.

Off your new Suzuki 4-stroke

When you trade in your old 2-stroke outboard, you receive an additional 10% off the purchase price of a new Suzuki 4-stroke through the 442 program. The discount applies to the motor price — not labor or installation. The engine doesn't need to run or be rebuildable — blown up, seized, and non-running motors all qualify.

Two requirements: trade-in motor within 50HP of new Suzuki, and motor must be mounted on the boat at drop-off.

Get a Quote

Fill out the form or give us a call. Tell us your current motor — brand and HP — and the HP of the new Suzuki you're targeting. We confirm 442 eligibility (the trade-in must be within 50HP of the new motor) and quote the full repower with discount and MVL rebate included. Condition doesn't matter.

Motor Assesment



Drop off the boat with the old motor still mounted — that's a program requirement. We inspect it to confirm 442 eligibility. Blown up, seized, non-running — it qualifies. We confirm the exact 442 discount and MVL savings amount on the spot — both are already reflected in the price we quote you.

Installation



Your new Suzuki 4-stroke is installed by certified technicians. Current lead time is 2–4 weeks from drop-off. If you're adding electronics, we coordinate both at the same time — one trip, no extra mobilization.

Pick up and go

On-water test completed. 5-year Suzuki warranty registered in your name. We walk you through the new setup. Your old 2-stroke stays with us — handled as part of the program.
