The only two requirements are that the trade-in motor is within 50HP of the new Suzuki you're purchasing, and the motor is still mounted on the boat when you bring it in. If your old motor is taking up space and you've been putting off a repower because you assumed a non-running motor had no trade-in value — it does.
Can I trade in any brand of 2-stroke — not just Suzuki?
Yes. The 442 program accepts 2-stroke outboards regardless of brand — Yamaha, Mercury, Evinrude, Johnson, and any other make all qualify. The two requirements that do apply: the trade-in motor must be within 50HP of the new Suzuki you're purchasing (so if you're buying a 150HP Suzuki, the trade-in must be between 100HP and 200HP), and the motor must still be mounted on the boat when you bring it to CVMS. Condition doesn't matter — any brand, any condition.
